Tommy Castro, the internationally acclaimed soul-blues rocker, has spent over 30 years crafting his signature sound, blending blues, R&B, rock ‘n’ roll, and soulful vocals. Since his debut in 1994, Castro has released 16 albums, with his last seven under Alligator Records. His music, driven by passionate guitar work and dynamic vocals, has evolved from horn-fueled R&B to stripped-down rock, with each release reflecting his unyielding authenticity.
In the past five years, Castro has continued to impress with his band, The Painkillers, releasing Method to My Madness (2015), Stompin’ Ground (2017), and the live album Killin’ It (2019). His live performances have earned him a dedicated following, and he remains one of the most in-demand roots music acts today.
Castro’s latest project, A Bluesman Came to Town, is a roots music journey that tells a timeless story of a young man’s rise and personal realization through 13 compelling songs. Castro continues to tour relentlessly, delivering electrifying shows that keep fans coming back for more. “I give it all I’ve got every time we hit the stage,” says Castro.
